Responsibilities
•Apply coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, and acrylic to concrete floors and surfaces
•Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and patching as necessary
•Use polishing equipment to grind and polish concrete to specified finishes
•Ensure quality workmanship and attention to detail in all installations and polishing processes
•Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
•Follow all directions of the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately
•Properly dispose of debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean and meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements
•Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc.
•Build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site and tear down old structures
•Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as jackhammers, survey equipment, and forklifts as required
Qualifications
•Past construction experience, knowledge of construction methods, tools, and equipment and the ability to understand blueprints and construction plans are required
•Carry a valid driver's license
•Strong depth perception, good eye-hand coordination, and mechanical skills are helpful
•Ability to work in adverse weather conditions such as extreme temperatures and rain
•Need to be OSHA 10 certified
