Position Overview The Jackson County Health Department is seeking a Clinic Nurse Supervisor for its Commerce location. Under limited supervision, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor will manage programs, staff, and clinical services at the Jackson County Health Department. Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care in accordance with Northeast Health District protocols, focusing on illness, injury, or disability prevention, and promoting population health. The Supervisor will identify community partners, develop relationships to advance public health efforts, and coordinate community events with the Jackson County Jefferson Clinic. Job Responsibilities Lead and manage staff responsible for the functioning of assigned nursing care areas during shifts. Provide clinical services to target populations following established protocols. Chart patient progress, diagnoses, medications, symptoms, and observations. Make administrative decisions and notify leadership on call when necessary in the County Nurse Manager’s absence. Provide leadership and maintain a high‑performance environment. Continuously improve the quality and timeliness of care and services. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution **AND** one year of nursing experience **AND** current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse **AND** CPR certification.ORAssociate’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution **AND** two years of nursing experience **AND** completion of a PHN course within one year of hire **AND** current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license **AND** CPR certification. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory experience. Salary & Benefits Annual salary: $70,000. Benefits include 13 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans. Employment Information State of Georgia employees are subject to the State Personnel Board salary rules. DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by CHEA and/or DOE.
