Builds,leads, and mentors a cross-functional engineering team of up to 15 engineers withtechnical oversight of 2 to 5 key strategic domains with cross organizationaldependencies.Essential FunctionsInterviews and/or approves job applicants for employment. conducts and/orreviews associate performance appraisals. Initiates or approves salaryadjustments, performance ratings, and other personnel changes. Counselsassociates and takes disciplinary action or terminates the employment ofassociates as appropriate.Collaborates closely with business customers and other engineeringfunctions to the build the right solutions.Manages the activities of engineers and engineer teams in the establishmentand implementation of new or revised systems and programs.Responsible for software implementations ensuring accuracy andcompleteness and approves them for implementation.Monitors and analyzes functional and non-functional requirements inaccordance with regulatory and operating requirements.Conducts research to understand diverse perspectives from business,project management, design, and other areas to assess likely reactions tonew initiatives or products and forecast their potential.Manages the investigation of interruptions to functional areas of existingsystems. Assists engineers and others in diagnosing cause of problems.Manages remedy actions.Analyzes the impact of new hardware and software on existing systems.Trains, mentors and provides developmental opportunities for engineers toassure performance expectations are met.Periodically reviews existing systems for possible program or systemsimprovement or enhancements.Assists in the preparation of all required management reports.Prepares department business plans, staffing projections and budgets.Requisitions supplies and materials necessary for efficient operation.Reviews plans and budgets periodically to achieve cost reduction wherepossible.Adheres to the Code of Conduct, company policies, and operating principles.Meets attendance standard at business location to perform necessary jobfunctions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers andif applicable direct reports.Meets The Requirements Specified Below.Must be able to, with or without accommodation, perform the essentialfunctions which include, but are not limited to seeing, hearing, typing andspeakingMust be able to use a PCMust be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitateconflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skillsMust be able to multi-taskMust be able to handle competing priorities and projectsMust be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and proceduralinformation, and follow processes that have been publishedMust be knowledgeable of software coding and following standards andprocesses that have been published and the guidelines for the designMust be able to provide system training to team members as neededMust be able to communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or writtenmanner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and otheremployees of the organizationMust be able to perform under pressure and stressful situationsMay be required to be on call for production support 24x7Must be able to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learningtechnical concepts and adapting to new technologies quicklyRequired Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field required10+ years of professional software engineering experience, includingsoftware development lifecycle best practices5+ years of development in a large-scale, mission-critical environment5+ years of hands-on work experience supervising personnel in a technicalenvironment2+ years' experience with automated testing including Unit, Integration, andEnd-to-End functional testingPreferred Qualifications And Experience5+ years of professional experience focusing on data engineering, includingbut not limited to large scale data movement and processing, dataarchitecture, compute and storage performance and efficiency, machinelearning / AI, analytic user experience and management, businessintelligence, data-centric application development5+ years of experience in financial industryAnnual Salary$140,000.00 - $300,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
