Production Engineer

Key Role:

Conduct planning, development, engineering, and management of production activities applied in the design and development of a program to reduce the risk of non-conformance to requirements. Develop and maintain quality assurance and production strategies and plans, provisions, specifications, and associated contract language. Review and analyze policies and regulations for their impact on quality assurance programs and provide feedback on draft publications, specifications, or regulations. Manage the development and execution of final inspection, manufacturing processes, and procedures. Perform audits and surveillance at multiple facilities and lead problem-solving activities. Identify potential product risks and failure modes and provide recommendations to mitigate and eliminate potential failure modes. Document lessons learned and continue to drive continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities within quality assurance and production. This position will require travel of up to 25% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with collaborating in multifunctional teams

  • Experience with providing independent oversight and review of project deliverables, including specs, SOWS, qualification plans, test plans and reports, and onsite monitoring of subsystem and component testing

  • Experience with the implementation of quality assurance and production strategies to ensure manufacturing processes yield conforming product

  • Ability to review, evaluate, and approve qualification test plans and Failure Analysis and Corrective Action Reports (FACAR) associated with testing

  • Ability to develop and apply a process control plan that leverages Quality tools, including DFMEA, PFMEA, or SPC in the certification and qualification ofmanufacturing processes

  • Ability to perform production monitoring and coordination to ensure timely delivery, gather information, and communicate it effectively

  • Ability to participate in the change management process to assure products or services continue to meet customer requirements and provide the quality review or concurrence function for engineering changes

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor‘s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DoD contractor manufacturing and quality assurance processes

  • Master‘s degree in a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual‘s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen‘s total compensation package for employees.
