Additive Manufacturing Operations Technician

Job ID: 666724BR Date posted: May. 15, 2024Description:The technician will work in large format AM laboratory, supporting R&D and technology development. This role will work closely with engineering, R&D and product team members, with the goal of increasing AM applications. Based onsite at Dallas, the Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technician will be responsible for supporting various AM technologies (LPBF, DED, Hybrid AM) with alloys including but not limited to Al, Ti and Steel. The role will be reporting to AM manager and the primary responsibilities of this role will be1. Understand, uphold and follow all AM safety measures - be a champion of safe operations2. Schedule, operate and maintain large format AM machines3. Prepare files for successful AM prints - knowledge of DfAM, support structures and post processing 4. Operate a wide variety of metal 3D printers5. Ensure that the part quality after build is up to the drawing or required standards6. Follow work orders, procedures, specifications and other instructions7. Perform daily, weekly, monthly and other equipment operation on the AM machines8. Provide timely and accurate process and operational feedback to the engineers and broader team9. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
