BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Pediatric Social Worker (MSW) Inpatient Float for St. Louis Children's Hospital
Join the #1 pediatric hospital in the area
Position Details:
* Full-Time
* Day Shift: Mon-Fri (8am-4:30pm)
* Complete Psychosocial Assessments to determine Health Related Social Needs related to patient/family hospitalization
* Identify and connect patients and families to applicable resources and support
* Work with multidisciplinary team of physicians, medical staff, and ancillary staff regarding treatment planning, discharge planning, address any abuse/neglect concerns, connect with outpatient welfare
* Opportunity to collaborate with other Master Level Social Workers, expand your clinical skillset by working with a number of specialty service areas including Hematology/Oncology, General Medicine, Transplant, Neurology, and Asthma.
Requirements:
* Master's Degree of Social Work (MSW) - required
* Licensed Master of Social Work (acceptable)

Role Purpose
Under direction of a physician, assists patients and their families in their residences or outpatient/inpatient settings to adapt and plan an interdisciplinary approach to treating the patient-family system.Employees working at an Illinois facility are required to have an Illinois state social work license or be able to take and pass the Illinois state social work licensing exam within 90 days of the first day of employment.
Responsibilities
Provides direct clinical services to patients and families.Plans and implements social work services on assigned clinical service or unit in collaboration with the healthcare team.Collaborates with community human service agencies to meet the needs of patients, families, and the hospital.
