The Manager works with internal teams and external partners, and ensures the API ecosystem aligns with business objectives, supports seamless integrations, and enhances operational efficiency.Education And/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) requiredMinimum four years hands-on experience with Mulesoft platform, including API management, integration development, and deployment requiredMulesoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (Mule 4) preferredMulesoft Certified Architect – Level 1 or higher preferredAdditional relevant certifications in API management, cloud computing, or integration architecture are a plus.Essential SkillsIn-depth knowledge of Mulesoft Anypoint, API Manager and Monitoring, DataWeave, or related API technologies requiredCombined technical leadership and strategic oversight to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative API solutions that drive business value and digital transformationStrong understanding of web services, REST, SOAP, and other integration protocols requiredProficient in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure APIs requiredFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipeline tools for automated deploymentExcellent problem-solving and communication skills.Job ResponsibilitiesDesigns and implements comprehensive API strategy, roadmap, and governance model aligned with organizational goals and industry best practicesEnsures APIs are designed with scalability, security, and performance in mind, optimizing integration capabilities across business functionsOversees the day-to-day management and operation of the API platform, ensuring continuous performance monitoring, issue resolution, and optimization of API servicesCollaborates with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and smooth operational performanceLeads the design, development, and implementation of API integrations, functionality enhancements, and continuous improvement to drive business valueCollaborates with IT, business units, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needsManages relationships with external vendors and third-party service providers , ensuring deliverables meet organizational standards and timelinesHandles escalations related to vendor issues, and coordinates with external supportEnsures API integrations adhere to industry regulations, internal security policies, and compliance requirementsContinuously monitors API security and mitigates potential risks, and provides guidance to stakeholders on best practicesCollaborates with internal teams, including IT, development, and business units, to understand integration needs and deliver tailored solutionsPerforms other duties as assignedBenefits Of Joining The Teachers TeamWe provide a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes, but is not limited to:Paid time off for vacation, personal days, and holidaysFully-funded pension plan401(k) company contributionTeachers pays 100% of Dental & Vision premiumTuition reimbursement is offered to full-time employeesExclusive employee discount of 0.96% APR on credit card loans and a 1.00% APR on all other loans through TeachersThe good faith range for this position is $91,250 - $114,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs.
