The VCS Team is a tier 3 level support group for a large IT infrastructure. This position is in 24 x 7x 365 environments, working days, some nights and weekends for production changes. There is also an on-call rotation.
Must excel in troubleshooting server performance issues, with java-based applications Patching/troubleshooting systems in a closed environment.

Expertise in:
Infoscale 7.4.2, 8. *
Administers high-availability clusters running Veritas Infoscale.
VXVM/VXFS Storage/Filesystem.
Daily Systems Administration.
User administration. (setuser).
SAN replication.

Strong background in:
• Solaris 11.4 to include OS level patching troubleshooting and in depth understanding of Solaris 11.4 OS.
• Ability to work with shell and perl scripts.
• Familiarity LDOMS configuration.
• Familiarity ZFS/VDEVS.
• Ability to work with shell and perl scripts.
• Daily Systems Administration.

The successful candidate would expect to assist in annual auditing, incident management/closure, and the ability to plan and execute changes using the documented process. When issues occur, you can expect to be involved in troubleshooting performance, network connectivity, port availability, process detection, etc. during a live conference call with other team members.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• At least 10 years of prior VCS/Solaris experience, RHEL7/8, Remedy
• Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Critical thinking skills Professional communication skills both written and verbal
