The role of the Electrophysiology Clinic Registered Nurse reports to the Electrophysiology Clinic Manager in partnership with the Clinic Physician. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and assisting with front office duties, as needed.

Collect and input patient vitals, medical history, and any patient medical information into the EMR system.
* Assist patient with scheduling all necessary appointments, including schedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests.
* Triage calls per established provider protocols for all EP patients, partnering directly with the EP providers or Cardiology providers, and document details in electronic medical record.
* Effectively communicate and collaborate with staff, providers, and clinic leaders regarding operational issues, patient care concerns, and policy and procedure issues and staffing on an ongoing basis.
* Refill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax, or phone as authorized and appropriate.
* Provide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the provider.
* Obtain prior authorizations for procedures.
* Serve as patient liaison and advocate, provide assistance and support for current and ongoing patient care needs.
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program
* This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
