Tomco is looking for an Estimator with experience working in the HVAC/R and Construction industry. The Estimator position requires an excellent sense of time management, problem solving, as well as excellent attention to detail in a deadline driven environment. Responsibilities __Conduct cost estimates for various HVAC systems. Collaborate with Operations to establish budgeting and strategic objectives for estimating activities and business development. Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure projects adhere to estimates, refining estimating methodologies as needed. Maintain an accurate database of potential projects. Prepare and process bids accordingly. Support other activities within the Estimating Department as required. Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to identify cost-effective solutions. Ensure adequate subcontractor coverage on bid day. Follow up assertively with subcontractors to ensure timely bid submission. Verify correct pricing and tax exemption status for all bids. Submit bids and budgets by specified deadlines. Review blueprints to accurately determine project scope. Maintain consistent communication with General Contractors to secure business. Conduct bid walkthroughs and negotiate Change Orders. Provide concise project summaries. ** Requirements ** Minimum 6 years of experience in HVAC estimating. Track record of successful project estimating. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to manage cost and pricing factors impacting customer acquisition, retention, and revenue. Proficiency in estimating software (Fast pipe Software) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in advanced estimating strategies and techniques.
