Apply now as the position will be filled quickly.Responsibilities Read blue prints and fabricate parts to meet specifications. Fabricate and assemble electrodes and other components to spec and quality standards by setting up and operating a milling machine; fabricating and assembling parts; and re-assembling the electrodes. Fabricators use hand tools, power drills, milling machine and other power tools. Fabricators demonstrate attention to detail and quality, and engage in continuous process improvement via discussion, feedback, and training.Keep tools in good working order. Report any problems to lead. Keep assigned area neat and orderly. Use computer to record labor and quantities completed into ERP system. Follow all safety rules and reports problems promptly. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.QualificationsRequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent.At least 6 months fabrication experience in an assembly or manufacturing position.Knowledge of general hand tool use and power machinery. Skilled in the reading and interpreting of blueprints.Experience with the metric system and the ability to read measuring devices, both in English and Metric.Work independently and adapt to variations in fabrication with minimal supervision.Ability to perform work while standing or stooping for up to two hours. Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.Communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.Basic computer knowledge.
