What You’ll Do This is a Full‑Time Hourly Supervisory Position. Alongside a District Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a store, including business performance, product management, and ensure your team has the tools to succeed. You will support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner that is consistent with GNC values and policies. In this key role, you'll represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting our "Live Well" message to customers. Responsible for ensuring products are merchandised according to GNC standards while keeping an eye on visibility and ease of purchase. Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the customer relationship that leads to sales and repeat business, i.e., MYGNC Rewards. Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their sales potential. Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership and managerial skills such as giving feedback to store associates on an ongoing basis, recruiting, hiring, and performance management. Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory count, and deposits according to GNC procedures. Seek out and participate in community events that resonate with our consumers, e.g., fairs, fitness events, conferences, expos, and other public gatherings, to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives. At the end of 90 days, your performance will be assessed and evaluated to determine your eligibility for promotion to a Permanent Store Manager position. This assessment will consider performance, availability of openings, and willingness to accept a promotion at any location in the designated market. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day. Frequent reaching and bending and twisting – below waist and above shoulders. Frequently required to use repetitive hand‑to‑finger motions and reach with hands and arms. Frequently lift up to twenty pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds; push/pull up to 20 pounds. Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend. Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 °F—especially in stock rooms. Use of a computer up to 60 % of the time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Hours & Shift Requirements Managers are expected to work five daily and forty hours weekly. Managers of mall and strip‑center stores must work at least two nights a week until closing, one weekend night and one other night. Strip‑center managers must also work a full shift on Saturdays. Mall managers are expected to work peak business days including weekends (Saturday & Sunday). Managers should work a minimum of one full Sunday per month. Downtown store managers should work during the lunch hour of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and one night per week until closing if the store stays open. Downtown managers are not required to work Saturdays. Managers are expected to work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
