The MGH Vascular Access/IV Therapy team is:
* A highly skilled group of nursing professionals who provide a key clinical service to our patients.
* Members of the health care team collaborate to achieve the universal goal of safe, effective, and appropriate infusion therapy and vascular access.
* Nurses perform independent nursing interventions related to infusion therapy and vascular access using appropriate clinical reasoning, nursing judgment, and critical decision-making skills.
* Primary response team for vascular access needs including intraosseous insertions during rapid responses and codes.
* RN's are highly valued by the staff nurses whom they support and partner with.

Qualifications - External
* Pediatric Nursing experience 3-5 years
* Current Massachusetts RN License required.
* AD with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience or BSN degree in nursing required.
* Knowledge of IV Therapy Nursing
* IV Therapy Nursing experience preferred.
* Dedication to both bedside teaching and formal hospital education programs.
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability to develop and support unit-based quality improvement/research projects.
* Day/evening/night rotations including weekends and holidays required.
