**Description**

***Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:***

* Driving DOT regulated 26' Box truck

* Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness

* Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips

* Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary

* Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law

* Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked

* Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance

* Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities

* Assist shipping and receiving loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.

* Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.

* File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.

* Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

* Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.

* Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

* Open bales, crates and other containers.

* Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.

* Assist in counting of physical inventory.

* Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

* May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

* Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.

* Prepare parcels for mailing.

* Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness.

* Wear the proper safety equipment.

**Required Knowledge & Skills:**

* Required two years of experience working as a CDL driver with no legal or safety incidents on record

* Required DOT Medical Card

* Enthusiasm for our products and desire to deliver them safely and on time

* Possesses physical strength necessary to lift heavy boxes and crates and move them around the warehouse.

* Is capable of maintaining the stamina needed for long hours of physical labor.

* Must have strong work ethic; Professional attitude; Reliable

* Excellent communication skills to all levels of internal and external customers

* Must be well organized and a self-starter

* Ability to make decisions and be independent

* Attention to detail as well as accuracy

* Quick learner great at building relationships

* Possess strong organizational and time management skills

* Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

* Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

**Basic Qualification & Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent

* Minimum 2 year in CDL Driver Role

**Preferred Qualifications & Requirements:**

* Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment

* Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system
