PRN Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist Apply to serve as a PRN Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist at MedStar Health. About the Job MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech‑language pathology services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning and implementation, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. The role involves collaborative program planning, protocol development, and meeting established quality goals. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services, review relevant history, administer assessments, formulate and document recommendations, and engage patients and families in goal setting. Implement evidence‑based treatment protocols, update plans based on clinical changes, and consult with other healthcare professionals as needed. Coordinate discharge planning and follow‑up care, accurately documenting and billing patient care activities. Manage time efficiently, maintain productive schedules, and demonstrate professionalism and empathy in patient interactions. Serve as a clinical instructor, mentor new staff, students, and volunteers, and support continuous professional development. Participate in quality improvement teams, committees, community outreach, and marketing activities, and comply with regulatory standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy. Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist in Maryland, DC, or Virginia (as applicable). Current CPR certification (BLS/NRP) from AHA or American Red Cross. Preferred: 1‑2 years of experience.
