Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Government Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity. Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols. Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unauthorized activities. Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and/or employees as required. Complete required documentation and incident reports in a timely and accurate manner. Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client-specific guidelines for armed patrol posts in a government setting.Minimum Requirements: A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. At least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required. A valid armed guard card or armed guard license is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
