Responsibilities Perform day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring an efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers within the guidelines of company policies, state and federal laws, and regulations. Select, schedule, train, coach, and manage the performance of pharmacy technicians, including decisions on discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients by greeting them, offering assistance, resolving complaints, and answering non‑clinical questions to enhance the customer experience. Assist the pharmacist with patient care duties such as registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, verification, and health‑screening services allowed by law. Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal laws, oversee inventory management tasks not requiring pharmacist licensure, and prepare required reports and records. Drive pharmacy workflow excellence by coordinating daily schedules, managing inventory, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean, orderly environment. Oversee new technology and process rollouts, champion change management, and keep equipment operating correctly. Maintain security safeguards, report security concerns, manage asset‑protection techniques, and support diversion monitoring. Communicate prescription errors and adhere to continuous quality improvement programs. Process insurance claims accurately, follow up with insurers and providers, and participate in third‑party audits. Support Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Manage the Community Outreach Portal, coordinate off‑site immunization clinics, and sustain relationships with retail partnerships. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). At least one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain an active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications Previous people‑management or leadership experience. Experience with Walgreens and an Exceeding Expectation on the last performance evaluation. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $22.50 per hour – $31.00 per hour. The actual hourly salary will depend on geography, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
