Job DescriptionThe Law Offices of John Salazar, P.C. is interviewing for a litigation attorney position at our personal injury law firm in downtown Dallas. We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated attorney with a strong background in personal injury law to join our legal team. We seek conscientious, motivated, and organized candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience litigating personal injury claims.Responsibilities to handle a busy litigation docket include:Understanding of the laws and statutes that apply to the potential recovery of each case.Provide legal counsel to clients, explaining legal processes and potential outcomes in clear and understandable terms.Building strong attorney-client relationships based on trust, empathy, and effective communication.Prepare and file legal documents, including discovery, motions, and briefs, accurately and within deadlines.Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties to secure favorable settlements for clients.Prepare for and attend trial as a first chair attorney.Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case progress.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys, sharing your expertise and helping them develop their skills.Qualifications:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in the State of Texas.Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience with a primary focus on personal injury law.Proven track record of successfully litigating personal injury cases, including trials and settlements.Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills.Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities.Leadership qualities and a demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior attorneys.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.High level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.If you are a skilled and motivated Litigation Attorney, we invite you to join our team.
