Visit us at www.hitachi.com.Summary:Join Hitachi America's Value Integration Division (VID) supporting the sourcing, contracting, and procurement activities. This role involves working with global business partners and Hitachi Group companies, contributing to high technology business alliances, and supporting various stages of the procurement business lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to VID’s mission through coordinating, participating in activities, supporting sourcing to contract process with cross functional teams across the organization.Responsibilities:Review IT and business contracts and other project-related documentation to identify and mitigate company risk or liability.Draft and propose alternative contract text and provide supporting commentary regarding changes.Collect, compile and create reports to monitor spend and vendor performance activities.Collaborate with team members, internal stakeholders and vendors for post-award business processes.Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track shipping performance, costs, trends, and issues.Become familiarized with company procurement policies and processes.Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.1-3 years of experience in contracting review process or business development.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills, including communicating complex business concepts.Familiarity with technology transactions and software licenses, and understanding of business, financial, and legal aspects of contracts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to respond quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, international environment.Eagerness to learn and develop within the procurement field.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.EOE Females/Minorities/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesOur ValuesWe are proud to say we are an equal opportunity employer and welcome all applicants for employment without attention to any factor that doesn’t impact your ability to do the job, including race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area.
