Day and Night Shift Available- Auto Offers

12 hour shifts; 36 hours/week option for 48

Responsibilities:
* Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.
* Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre and post-surgery patients.

Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Strong knowledge of medical office standards and best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

- BLS certification (AHA) - Covid Exempts Accepted

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients admitted to the medical/surgical unit
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature
- Assist with various medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, and wound care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times
