Job Overview Architect/Systems Engineer is responsible for the design of the infrastructure systems for a portfolio of applications by matching current technology blueprints and standards with the business and application requirements. Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Location: Pennington, New Jersey Job Type: Contract Salary: $63.68 - $73.68 per hour Work Hours: 9am to 5pm Education: Bachelors Responsibilities Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Identify solutions and alternatives for keeping current and optimizing computer resources. Investigate and analyze information and to draw conclusions required for design and support of various types of enterprise applications. Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Work as a team member with other technical staff, such as networking to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems. Write and maintain system design drawings and system specific detailed documentation. 3rd level support for major incident troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for a portfolio of applications Supporting issues with deployments in the upstream and downstream environments Qualifications Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience. Typically 7-10 years of enterprise IT experience. Minimum of 5 years infrastructure related experience with very strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and application integration. Minimum of 2 years Enterprise level design experience. Strong working knowledge of Networking, Windows/Linux OS, Middleware, DMZ/Firewall, Local and Global load balancing expertise as it relates to midrange systems application integration and design.
