We are seeking an individual with passion and experience in compliance who can contribute to our organization. What You’ll Do As a Senior Security Specialist at Dental Intelligence, you will focus on Application Security/Cybersecurity/Information Security with an emphasis on HIPAA, SOC 2, Privacy and PCI DSS standards. This remote‑friendly role covers the Dallas‑Fort Worth, TX area, Pleasant Grove, UT or the Corporate Office a few days a week. You will report to the Senior Manager of Security & Compliance and lead cross‑functional initiatives while working independently. Key Responsibilities Coordinate penetration testing and remediation efforts. Use security testing tools (Tenable, Aikido, etc.) to scan code, containers, domains, APIs. Collaborate with product owners, developers and systems engineering to implement and track remediations. Track and analyze open‑source software security concerns and report potential licensing issues to Compliance. Utilize IDS, EDR, firewalls, DNS filtering and SIEM platforms, CSPM, SAST/DAST, etc. Perform weekly patch management reviews, including testing, deployment coordination with Systems & IT, and reporting. Support Compliance on HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, Privacy and related controls. Conduct risk assessments and vendor/software assessments. Identify, analyze and respond to real‑time security incidents; support root cause analysis and After Action Reports. Foster a culture of compliance and reporting; design and deliver advanced security training modules. Leverage threat intelligence to create tailored awareness campaigns for emerging risks. Maintain documentation for security configurations, tools and processes; contribute to security policies, playbooks, audit plans and risk assessments. Documentation and Reporting. What Looks Like “Real Love” Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience: Minimum 4 years in InfoSec/Cybersecurity roles with exposure to vulnerability management, network defense and/or application security; familiarity with healthcare/payments SaaS; Blue/Red team; various security tools. Knowledge: HIPAA Security Rule, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls; networking, system hardening, attack vectors; secure coding; cloud/on‑prem infrastructure; scripting/automation for ops.
