Sites currently hiring for this position: Intervention Pain Management Clinic Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Clinic JOB DESCRIPTION The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership, consultation and collaboration with the goal of facilitating the provision of high-quality care and service to a defined patient group or clinical area. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a resource to the organization related to the practice of ambulatory nursing and the community for information related to care within that area. The Nursing Supervisor must have an intense commitment to high level customer service, and the ability to foster that culture within the site or sites they manage. EDUCATION State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. The University of Vermont Medical Center is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter. Current internal RNs are strongly encouraged to pursue a BSN to support this initiative. Master’s degree in nursing (or Nurse Practitioner Program), Business Administration, or Health Care Administration preferred. EXPERIENCE Three to five years RN experience in direct patient care. Three to five years supervisory experience, preferably in the ambulatory setting. ABOUT THE INTERVENTIONAL PAIN MANAGEMENT CLINIC The primary site of Interventional Pain outpatient service is located at 62 Tilley Drive, South Burlington, VT, which includes on-site parking. The Nursing Supervisor position supports a team of nurses in a busy procedural-based practice supporting interventions for pain medicine. This position supports high-quality clinical operations in conjunction with administrative supervisors, physician leaders, and various clinical roles. The position requires strong communication and collaboration skills to maintain an effective team-based approach to operational management. ABOUT THE ORTHOPEDICS & REHABILITATION LOCATION The primary site of Orthopedics & Rehabilitation outpatient service is located at 192 Tilley Drive, South Burlington, VT, which includes on-site parking. The Nursing Supervisor position supports a team of nurses in a busy orthopedic and podiatric surgical practice as well as clinical support for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and/or non-operative Orthopedics providers. This position supports high-quality clinical operations in conjunction with administrative supervisors, physician leaders, and Lead APP.
