Aviation National Market Leader - Austin National Aviation Leader - Architecture Practice Location: Flexible within the U.S.Travel: Estimated 40-50%Experience Level: Senior-level (not mid-career) Position Overview We are seeking a visionary and strategic National Aviation Leader to drive growth and sales across a dynamic and nationally recognized aviation architecture practice. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in leading major aviation programs and shaping the future of airport design. As the internal ambassador for aviation architecture, you will collaborate closely with local offices, client service leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to identify and pursue high-impact opportunities – especially large-scale and complex terminal projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in elevating the firm's national presence and securing transformative aviation work. Key Responsibilities Sales & Growth Leadership: Champion the growth of the aviation practice by identifying strategic pursuits and supporting the Aviation Growth Team in targeting key projects. Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, traveling frequently to engage stakeholders and coordinate with regional offices. Strategic Collaboration: Partner effectively with engineers, internal teams, and external firms to deliver integrated solutions and win work. Market Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of terminal buildings, terminal solutions, and forward-thinking aviation concepts to position the firm as a leader in the space. Internal Advocacy: Serve as a connector across offices, promoting best practices and aligning efforts to maximize impact and visibility. Qualifications Licensed architect with extensive experience in aviation architecture. Demonstrated success as a Market Leader or Principal on major aviation programs. Ability to pivot into a Principal role to support strategic pursuits. Strong understanding of client needs, market trends, and future opportunities. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset and sales-oriented approach.
