Job SummaryFull Time Field Service Technician – California East Bay AreaThe Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Kiosk Technician in the California East Bay area.There will be out-of-town travel 5 or more nights a month to service kiosks in other technician's territories. This position will require overnight travel 40% of the time, mainly assisting Northern California's 10 Technicians. There may be additional opportunities to travel to assist in other areas of the region.You would begin your career with RDS as a Kiosk Repair and Service Technician training on key duplicating, tag engraving kiosks as well as 3rd party service (Eco-ATM and Pokémon). The territory consists of 30-40 stores and number of hours per week is around 40 with a flexible schedule. This is an hourly position ranging from $22-25 an hour but is based on experience. Company car will be provided along with a corporate gas card for business miles.Essential Job Functions*Complete preventative maintenance, merchandising, cleaning, and product ordering at each store visit.Troubleshoot and repair kiosks and engraving machines based on scheduled visits as well as unscheduled repair dispatches.Plan weekly and daily travel schedule as needed based on service needs to maximize effectiveness and productivity.Serve existing accounts by examining scheduled service needs, sales trends and revenue improvement opportunities.Check text messages and emails for work related communication and respond to ETA on dispatches within 4 hours.Complete Plan-O-Grams, required software/hardware updates, store surveys, inventory and kiosk installs as required.Maintain good customer relations with store management and end-user* This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required.
