You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.Uses two patient identifiersCompares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracyAssess patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with imageCalculates, prepares, and administers proper patient dose and correct radiopharmaceutical according to dept. standard.Properly disposes of radioactive waste, contaminated lines, and spent radiopharmaceuticalsRoutinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.Job RequirementsHigh School GED General Studies, upon hire orHigh School Graduate General Studies, upon hire andGraduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, upon hireCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, within 90 Days andBasic Life Support - CPR, upon hireWhere You'll WorkCHI Memorial, a member of CommonSpirit, is an award-winning, not-for-profit, faith-based health care organization dedicated to the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
