Royal Suites Healthcare and Rehabilitation is a 186-bed skilled nursing facility located in Galloway, New Jersey and we are looking for a Full-time porter/floor tech Monday-Friday 7a-3p, with weekend availability. We are looking for a professional floor tech to maintain the cleanliness of our building and to make sure our residents have a well cleaned and sanitized living space. Responsibilities: Maintains the delivery of quality Housekeeping services. Receives and follows housekeeping schedule/instructions as assigned. (e) Performs specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments. (e) Cleans floors to include sweeping, dusting damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting, etc. NOTE: Ensures that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties. (e) Cleans carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting. (e) Cleans walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning disinfecting, deodorizing, etc (e) Removes dirt, dust grease, film, etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions. (e) Cleans hallways, stairways, and elevators, (e) Discards waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner. (e) Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, mealtimes, and end of the workday. (e) Discards infectious wastes into appropriate containers. (e) Performs unscheduled Housekeeping tasks as directedJob Competency/Requirements: High School or Trade School diploma. Ability to read write and speak the English language required, knowledge of other language helpful. Ability to use standard housekeeping equipment following safety precautions. (e) The ability to clean and sanitize all assigned areas, (e) The ability to lift 10 to 15 pound buckets of water from the floor to the sink a minimum of 15 times a day. (e) The ability to lift trash or soiled linen, weighing 20 to 30 pounds. a minimum of 20 times a day. (e) The ability to push a 60 pound trash or linen hamper safely in and out of elevators and dawn hallways. (e) The ability to handle and mix chemicals safely and properly. (e) Must be able to respond to the paging system in the appropriate manner. Effective oral end written communication skills. (e) The ability to deal effectively and professionally with emotional residents, visitors or family members. (e) The ability to relate to geriatric, infirm and sub-acute population. (e)
