Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple high-profile projects. This role requires expertise in managing large-scale structural concrete operations, including formwork, reinforcement, and placement. The successful candidate will lead project teams, control budgets, and ensure high safety, quality, and client satisfaction standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Lead all phases of structural concrete projects, from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, and financial objectives are met.
  • Oversee formwork systems, concrete placement strategies, and quality control for structural components.

Technical Expertise:

  • Collaborate with engineers and subcontractors to review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications related to concrete structures.
  • Implement advanced construction techniques to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with design and safety requirements.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets with a focus on cost control for structural concrete work, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Evaluate change orders and manage cash flow related to concrete-specific scopes.

Team Leadership:

  • Direct and mentor project teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with field crews and subcontractors specializing in structural concrete to ensure precision and safety.

Client Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing structural-specific concerns and maintaining excellent relationships.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety standards and oversee compliance with OSHA and other industry regulations, with a focus on high-risk structural concrete activities.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including concrete mix designs, test reports, and as-built drawings.

Problem Solving:

  • Proactively address technical and logistical challenges, especially those unique to structural concrete construction, to maintain project progress.

Process Improvement:

  • Advocate for innovative techniques and best practices in structural concrete construction to support company growth and project success.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years as a Project Manager, with a focus on structural concrete projects (e.g., high-rise buildings, bridges, parking structures, industrial facilities).
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience in structural concrete construction will be considered.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Primavera, Procore, or BIM tools.
  • Familiarity with structural concrete-specific tools and methodologies, such as formwork design software or concrete strength analysis.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex structural projects, including the ability to manage labor-intensive, high-precision operations.
  • Communication:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present reports, interact with clients, and manage teams.
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA, First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Certifications in concrete construction (e.g., ACI Certification) are a plus.


Work Environment:

  • This position involves both office and fieldwork, with frequent visits to construction sites. Exposure to outdoor conditions, heavy equipment, and structural concrete activities is expected.
