Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

  • Accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Provides psychoeducation to mentally ill adult patients under direct supervision of RN.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to adults with mental health issues
  • Interacts professionally with providers to coordinate care for patient across the continuum

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing required upon hire.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
  • CPI certifications required within 4 months of hire.

Work Schedule

  • 7:00pm-7:30am; 48 hours every 2 weeks
  • Every third weekend
  • One summer and one winter holiday
