This full‑time role offers a $50k sign‑on bonus. About the Practice Bedford Oaks Family Vet is AAHA accredited and Fear‑Free Certified. The practice recently moved into a modern facility equipped with cloud‑based patient tracking, ultrasound, digital radiology, a dedicated dental suite, a surgical suite, and an in‑house IDEXX laboratory. Position Purpose We seek a full‑time lead veterinarian and one or more full or part‑time associate veterinarians to join our team. Candidates should be experienced, creative, and driven, with strong leadership and surgical skills. Location Bedford, TX is located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex—5 minutes from DFW International Airport, 20 minutes from downtown Fort Worth, and 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. The area offers affordable housing, good schools, green spaces, and vibrant cultural activities. Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals, diagnosing disease or injury. Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel on end‑of‑life care. Maintain patient medical records. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state license. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients. Capacity to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift or carry >25 pounds with assistance.
