The SEH CT Surgery program is affiliated with Washington University (St. Louis) Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery, consistently ranked among the top ten heart programs in the country. This affiliation affords our CT Surgeons the opportunity for a faculty appointment at Washington University, participation in quarterly M&M conferences with on-site attendance by Washington University surgeons, telemedicine consults, and educational and training opportunities both on-site and in St. Louis.
Southeast Hospital is a community hospital licensed for 244 beds, providing the best in healthcare services since 1928. It is the flagship hospital of SoutheastHEALTH, a two-hospital healthcare system serving a population of 675,000 across southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois and surrounding states. Southeast Hospital has recently earned The Joint Commission s Gold Seal of Approval and the American Heart Association s Heart-Check mark for Comprehensive Cardiac Center Certification. At the time of certification in October 2019, Southeast Hospital became only the 15 th hospital in the nation to achieve this recognition. The certification recognizes Southeast s commitment to continuous quality improvement in patient safety and quality of care, reducing variations in clinical processes, and strengthening its program structure and management framework for cardiac patients.
