Our Challenge:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SQL Database Developer with expertise in Perl and Shell scripting to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient data flow and batch processes in applications, with a strong emphasis on T-SQL programming, Perl, and Shell scripting


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and reliable technical solutions for data flow and batch processing.
  • Design, develop, and maintain T-SQL code for efficient data manipulation, querying, and stored procedures in transactional databases such as Sybase and MSSQL.
  • Implement batch processing solutions using Perl and Shell scripting to automate system administration tasks, data processing, and file operations.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and strategic analysis to drive the design, development, testing, and implementation of batch processes and ETL workflows.
  • Optimize T-SQL code for performance, query optimization, and efficient batch or ETL creation experiences.
  • Ensure strong understanding of ETL processes using T-SQL and Perl/Shell scripting, and provide expertise in extraction, transformation, and loading of data.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Proven experience in T-SQL programming, Perl, and Shell scripting, with a strong emphasis on batch processing and ETL workflows.
  • Overall 8+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing efficient ETL processes using T-SQL, Perl, and Shell scripting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) is required.
  • Experience with Perl scripting is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of database security and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
