(Calif. Admin. Code Title 16 Ch. 13.2 Art. 4 Sect. 1398.44)* Suggest and, as authorized, introduce new methods and techniques* Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the field. Demonstrate evidence of continuously seeking, acquiring and updating professional knowledge and skills in Physical Therapy* Share execution of non-professional activities in the department, such as scheduling, charge slips, ordering supplies, maintenance of equipment, etc.* May act as Senior Therapist of Dept. in the absence of the Manager* You are responsible at all times to provide supervision of work done by an assistant + Be present in the same facility with assistant at least 50% of any workweek + Perform and record evaluation of patient + Plan each patient’s program and determine which elements are to be performed by the assistant + Supervising PT shall review and co-sign final summary documentation by PTA the same day of discharge + Periodically re-evaluate treatment programs, and assistant’s and patient performance + No supervision of more than two assistants at any time**Qualifications:****Education:*** B.A. or B.S. degree with completion of course work in a school or schools approved by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee so as to qualify for licensure by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs**License & Certifications:*** Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)* Physical Therapist - Physical Therapy Board of California**Experience:*** One year as a licensed Physical Therapist in an ambulatory setting or equivalent preferred.
