Ohleiser is looking for an Assembler to join our team in Newington, CT

As an Assembler you will be responsible for assembling various components and products according to specifications and blueprints. The successful candidate will have experience in assembling and testing products, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. The Assembler will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

What You'll Do :

Work from drawings, blueprints, sketches, and verbal or written instructions to assemble electro-mechanical/pneumatic components, utilizing a variety of handheld tools.

Test assembled valves, pumps, wire harnesses, and other component assemblies, ensuring product quality and conformity to specifications before, during, and after completion.

Prepare and package finished work for shipment or storage, maintaining quality records and pertinent data as required.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area, following all safety policies and procedures, and gaining knowledge of fabrication and cut shop processes.

Perform any other tasks as assigned by the lead or manager, ensuring production quantity and quality standards are met.

What You'll Need:

High school diploma or GED, with one to two years of related electro-mechanical assembly or repair experience, or equivalent education and technical experience.

Proficient in using, reading, and interpreting drawings and measuring scales or tapes, with strong math skills for basic arithmetic operations.

Excellent customer relation and problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills, capable of working independently or as part of a team, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and able to understand written and oral English, using computers, email, spreadsheets, and online documents.

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job and work in environments with moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, painting chemicals and solvents, and electrical equipment.
