POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently searching for a Plant Manager who would be responsible for overseeing all Casting plant activities in order to meet the business objectives. They will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance and will ensure that the plant runs in a cost-effective manner in accordance to quality standards.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrate and lead by example to convey that safety is our highest priority.
Lead weekly, multi-functional operations meeting.
Monitor and ensure KPI’s are in control and trending favorably.
Partner with process engineering to ensure processes/procedures are being updated/created to improve efficiency and yields.
Drive disciplines operations relative to proper shift handoffs, 5S, tool and equipment cleanliness and functionality.
Advance the use and accuracy of our ERP system, work orders, and routers to drive efficiency and schedule attainment KPI’s.
Maximize material yields through continuous improvement / streamlining a high priority throughout the plant.
Manage Maintenance department. Oversee that maintenance is taking a proactive approach in ensuring minimum plant downtime and proactive preventive maintenance
Manage the workloads of different departments and ensure clear priorities and expectations are set.
Supervise, hire, retain, review and discipline employees consistent with company policies and procedures, and in compliance with government laws and regulations.
Coordinate workflow to balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to meet manufacturing and delivery deadlines.
Flex labor to maintain on time deliveries and cost standards.
Work with supervisors to ensure all procedures are accurately being followed to ensure consistent quality of material.
Perform accident investigations when necessary.
Collaborate with scheduling to ensure proper inventory levels are being maintained.
Work across departments to ensure we are staying competitive and keeping our customer service at exceptional levels.
Practice good housekeeping and safety habits, support and follow company policies and procedures, and performs other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS



Good written & verbal communication skills to, understand, educate, and respond to employees, and management personnel.
Ability to think ahead and plan and prepare action plans to achieve results.
Ability to lead people to achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate problem resolution, positive attitudes, and relationships.



Self-motivated with the ability to recommend policies and strategies; and to independently plan, organize and execute work as needed to accomplish objectives.



Ability to delegate tasks effectively and accurately prioritize employees work loads.



Good quality orientation with attention to detail, administrative details with ability to organize, produce, retrieve, and distribute documents with a minimum of errors.



Ability to think analytically and find the critical path when dealing with uncommon situations.



Must have a thorough understanding of current company policies and procedures, and federal, state and local employment laws and requirements.





EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE



Preferred



Master’s degree in a Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering field, Master’s degree in business administration.
5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in a chemical processing plant a plus



Minimum Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or similar field.
Three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
