If you're looking for a dynamic, fulfilling career coupled with flexibility and world-class employee experience, you'll find it here.About the jobAs a Senior Product Manager for Data Acceleration, in collaboration with the wider product strategy team, you will be responsible for driving product strategy across the SAS platform in the areas of high-performance data processing and model execution. In this high-impact role, you will define and evolve the product direction for a portfolio of technologies that accelerate data access, transformation, and analytics execution across hybrid and cloud-native environments.This includes ownership of SAS SpeedyStore and SAS In-Database Technologies, which enable high-speed model scoring, code acceleration, SAS Visual Analytics (VA) acceleration, and model training. You will also lead the strategy for integrating with open file formats such as Parquet and Iceberg, and enabling remote access to cloud storage platforms like AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Google Cloud Storage.You will work closely with software engineering teams to develop a platform product vision for this domain and craft detailed requirements to support the development of a robust and scalable product roadmap.ResponsibilitiesDevelop the vision and roadmap for this product area.Define and prioritize product requirements based onbusiness drivers,customer inputs, market needs,and field contributions.Define user personas andwriteuse cases.Drive product development and collaborate with software development teams based on prioritized requirements and product lifecycle strategy.Support product launches by imparting product knowledge to marketing and sales teams.Presentproduct vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal constituents, senior management stakeholders, customers, press, analysts, influencers, and others.Identifynew markets, evaluate emerging technologies, and explore business issues that may present opportunities or threats to the company.Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience in product management and/or software engineering related to data management, decision management, or AI/analytics.Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in data science, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.Solid working knowledge of modern data management, cloud databases (SingleStore, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse), and Spark based environments like Databricks.Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in working with software development teams to deliver outstanding results.Familiarity with one or more open-source runtimes, packages, and libraries (like Python).Understand concepts ofSoftware-as-a-Service (SaaS) and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business models.Familiarity with Cloud Platform provider technologies.Ability to translate complex technical and business information for diverse audiences.You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable.
