Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Metairie, Louisiana.

Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a (12x3) 36 hours per week, No call

Length: 13 weeks

4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Requirements:

  • LA License
  • 2 years experience required
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH
  • CPI
  • Teaching Hospital experience preferred
  • Community Hospital experience preferred

Other Details:

  • Accepts 1st time Traveler
  • Will float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients in those areas. May occasionally float to MS/PCU units with 1:4 patient ratios
  • COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
  • Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - No Exemptions
  • 1:2 Ratio but sometimes flexes to 1:3
2 Years Experience Required

Weekends Required: Yes, 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Call Required: No
Float Required: Yes, will float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients in those areas. May occasionally float to MS/PCU units with 1:4 patient ratios

Nurses do all lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts

Type of equipment includes but is not limited to the following: Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards Lifesciences cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems; and Veratron Bladder Scanner

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, & NIH
Please note that we may still have Covid-19 patients and all nurses are expected to be able to take care of any isolation patient. Please know your N95 Mask size
