Faculty have access to the academic and cultural resources of the health system, the College, and the School.Position SummaryDartmouth Health is seeking a fellowship-trained Breast Imager to join the breast imaging division at the level of an Assistant, Associate, or (Full) Professor, depending on the level of experience. All candidates who have an interest in teaching and being in an academic environment, including candidates with little direct personal academic experience, are welcomed to apply. The ideal candidate will have a record of aspiring towards clinical excellence.The candidate being sought will participate in the delivery of cutting-edge breast imaging all-tomosynthesis screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MR, and breast biopsies.Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. The Department is a national leader in the science of teaching radiology to medical students. All faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. There is a strong desire to continue to expand our educational offerings.The Department values patient-centered care and a highly collaborative, respectful, caring, and engaging work environment. There is a strong working relationship with other Departments including oncology and breast surgery and the section participates in regular multidisciplinary meetings.Our faculty are encouraged to participate in national societies and organizations, with an eye towards developing a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence.The Department and Dartmouth HealthThe selected candidate will join Dartmouth Healths 60 radiologists. We are an internationally-known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. Since then, we have continued an upward trajectory growing in breadth and depth and expanding our services across New England.While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the systems Academic Medical Center. DHMC is the states only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services.Dartmouth Health maintains a total of 802 beds, with 458 located at DHMC.
