Job SummarySuper Micro Computer is looking for an experienced Sr. Hardware Debug Engineer in the Rack solutions team to help introduce and promote rack solution products to potential customers. The individual must have deep understanding of rack solutions, the market trend, and the ability to identify potential customers, promote in‑house solutions, and build solid relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. The candidate will complete system troubleshooting and debugging to improve system quality and production yield. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Diagnosis and troubleshooting: Run automated diagnostic tests, interpret results, analyze logs, and systematically pinpoint hardware issues within servers and rack systems. Hardware repair and replacement: Implement fixes or raise complex problems to specialized engineering teams. System optimization: Ensure optimal thermal performance, signal integrity, and overall efficiency of server hardware. Collaboration: Work closely with production, test, software engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and problem resolution. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of hardware designs, troubleshooting procedures, and test results. Staying current: Continuously learn about new technologies and industry trends to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving field. Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. 8+ years of experience in server hardware debugging. In‑depth knowledge of server hardware components, architectures (x86, ARM, Nvidia, AMD GPUs), and technologies. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware issues efficiently. Knowledge of diagnostic tools such as Nvidia DCGM and field diagnostics is a plus. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating tasks and streamlining workflows. Understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles. Familiarity with network infrastructure, protocols, and security best practices for server environments. Effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams and individuals. Attention to detail and precision in troubleshooting and repair processes. Adaptability and continuous learning to keep up with emerging technologies.
