As a Personal Lines Account Executive, you will manage a portfolio of clients, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring their insurance needs are met with precision and care. From handling renewals and policy changes to fostering strong client relationships, you'll be instrumental in protecting what matters most to our clients.

 

Position Overview:

We're looking for someone to support our personal lines clients delivering high-quality service. The Account Executive will oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and act as the primary contact and liaison between the client and the insurance company. This individual is also responsible for marketing new business, renewals, non-renewals, and supporting service requests. We're looking for someone with a unique attention to detail, strong customer relations experience, and an interest in helping others protect what matters most.


Role and Responsibilities:

The following functions are to be performed in accordance with Agency policies and procedures and with the highest degree of ethical standards and confidentiality:

  • Strong customer focus to act as a liaison between clients, producers, and insurance company
  • Utilize an Agency Management System to maintain up-to-date files and document client interaction
  • Ensure maximum retention of assigned personal lines book of business. Work proactively to re-market policies whenever appropriate
  • Respond to clients’ needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, and other related items
  • Process insurance policy changes, renewals and cancellations based on Agency standards
  • Knowledge of quoting and rating procedures for various types of personal lines products
  • Ability to address various issues concerning audits, claims and billing issues
  • Prepare applications for submission to clients and carriers and follow up to ensure timely responses
  • Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment


Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in servicing Personal Lines Insurance for independent agency
  • Active New York P&C Insurance License
  • Knowledge of Insurance markets and carrier quoting platforms
  • Effective planning, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and ability to make decisions
  • Experience with Applied Systems/EPIC Agency Management System a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and familiarity with social media platforms for business
