The C.A.R.E.S. of Central PA Residential Program enables individuals with developmental disabilities to live in a family home environment or Group Home, share life experiences and pursue opportunities with supportive people.

As a *Residential Program* *Specialist*for CARES of Central PA the essential functions of this position would include:

· Ensuring sites meet C.A.R.E.S. of Central PA quality of services

· Maintain client and providers files in accordance with DPW 6400 & 6500 regulations

· Preparing sites prior to licensing or moving a client into a home

· Participate in the interview and selection process, orientation, evaluation and supervision of Lifesharing Providers, Residential DSP, and Lifesharing Specialists

· Coordinate special client activities such as the Christmas brunch

· Track trainings for staff and providers and ensure each provider and staff meets the state requirement of 24 hours training per year

· Organize and conduct quarterly Provider trainings

· Conduct Medication Administration trainings for Lifesharing providers and C.A.R.E.S. of Central PA staff and do annual practicums

· Keep track of Lifesharing incidents and attend monthly Incident Management meetings

*Qualified candidates will have:*

· Bachelor’s Degree in related field including social work, psychology, special education or human services.

· Three (3) years of experience working as a Program Specialist or Coordinator for individuals with developmental disabilities.

· Two (2) years of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

· Current certifications in First Aid, CPR and medication administration.

· Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Outlook and Google Docs.

· Proficient in HCSIS, the DPW incident reporting system and the agency data system.

· Valid driver’s license

_All candidates must be able to secure PA criminal, FBI and child abuse clearances._
