Position Summary:
If you are a high energy, outgoing person who loves to help others, work as part of a team, and enjoys working in a food operation and loves the diversity of also working in a convenience store role, this job is for you Responsibilities include preparing high quality food for the core foodservice and company restaurant offer, quickly and efficiently, while following the Company's food safety measures and presentation standards. This role also includes supporting the convenience store operation from time to time. In this role, you will work as part of a team to ensure that our guests receive the highest quality service and highest quality food items in a timely, easy and pleasant manner. This position supports the Food Service Restaurant Manager and other team members in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience and a working environment that promotes engagement and living the Company values.
Responsibilities:
* Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
* Assist with food service and restaurant operations including food preparation and food safety, executing company processes and programs to provide a consistent guest experience. Ensuring that the recipes and food prep procedures are followed correctly and that food is wrapped and labeled correctly for purchase.
* Monitor product levels based on production needs and merchandising guidance through Plan a Gram adherence in the restaurant, in the foodservice area on the sales floor; including coolers, hot food cases and all dispense beverage areas, rotating stock and keeping product levels full so we have what our guests' want and to achieve our in stock targets at all times.
* Ensure that the food and beverage merchandising fixtures and work areas are kept clean, maintain company standards, and adhering to standard food safety preparation and sanitization protocols, and maintenance of equipment.
* Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the unit (inside and out) ensuring that the foodservice, restaurant, fountain beverage, coffee station and bathrooms are clean and stocked consistently.
* Effeciently operate the register for both the C-store and the company restaurant, processing sales transactions in an efficient and friendly manner to minimize guest wait time.
* Assist C-Store team with day to day operational needs, stocking, cleaning and safety measures.
* Lead by example in execution of Company values, programs, processes and policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned at the discretion of the Food Service Manager or Store Manager as needed.
Working Relationships: Guest Service Associates, Food Service Associates, Food Service Restaurant Manager, Store Manager, Company Restaurant Operations support, Foodservice Category Management team, Guest Service Leads, Site Manager, District Manager, Region Manager, Operations VP, other Company personnel, and various vendors.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
Minimum Education: N/A
Preferred Education: High School or GED
Minimum Experience: 6 months retail or food experience, or similar retail or customer service experience
Preferred Experience: 1 year in retail, service or restaurant environment
Licenses/Certifications: Serv Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory
Soft Skills:
* Ability to learn and execute processes to support food production and check out on the POS systems in the store or restaurant
* Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members
* High energy
* Ability to move from one activity to another quickly
* Team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others.
Other:
Reporting: Code 3485 - designates that this person works in a proprietary food restaurant inside one of our store units, has duties in both sides of the house and reports to the Food Service Restaurant Manager
Scheduling: This position is both part time (up to 29 hrs) and full-time (32-40 hrs) and involves working a variety of hours, day and night, as Cumberland Farms can be open 24 hours depending on the store. Weekend & Holiday hours are required.

Hours & Conditions: Full time - 40 regular hours (maximum)

Specialized work attire requirements (hats or visors, gloves, etc. - provided)
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day; ability to lift 40 lbs, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip and work in freezer and cooler (cold temperatures).
