Outpatient Pharmacy Operations Coord

Coordinates all aspects of purchasing, inventory control, technician scheduling, and outpatient technician training for the Department.Provides customer service ensuring prompt reporting, accurate order entry, and information accuracy with minimal supervision.Assists in the non-professional and clerical aspects of managing and operating the outpatient pharmacy.All medication associated duties are performed under the direct supervision of licensed personnel (Registered Pharmacists).Provides guidance and leadership for the support staff and is accountable for the results of that team's efforts.Required Job Specific Competencies:Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information. Demonstrates flexibility in decision-making and prioritizing assignments. Demonstrates skill on proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.Demonstrates a working knowledge of the Pharmacy Information System, as well as the ability to work in Microsoft's Word and Excel.Prepares CMG pharmacy technician schedule and coordinates training of new technician and pharmacist staff.Lives the CARES values at all times.Qualifications: (Licenses, Certifications)Required: No licensure needed, but must be knowledgeable and comfortable working in various information technology applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and Pharmacy Information System (QS1, Medent, Willow/eRecord).Preferred: Pharmacy Technician CertificationEducation:Required: High School GraduatePreferred: Associates Degree in BusinessExperience:Required 1-2 years of customer service, retail or inventory management, or other relevant experiencePreferred: Healthcare or Pharmacy with some demonstration of leadership.Pay Range: $21- 28.00 per hourStarting Rate: Based on experienceThompson Health is an EOE encouraging women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and veterans to applyEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
