Department Details**
Join a growing team in pediatric hematology and oncology. This position is 745-5 Monday through Friday, with a rotating day off each week. The best candidates will have pediatric or oncology experience. In this position you will will do telephone triage , manage central lines, provide patient education, and coordinate care for our oncology and hematology patients. There is opportunity for cross training to pediatric infusion clinic allowing you to maintain high tech skills. Our team consists of RNs, LPNs, 4 physicians, 2 NPs, child life specialist, behavioral health and a social worker. br>Job Summary
Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other interventions. Occasionally works in emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking and prompt assessment skills. Responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients across age continuum in an ambulatory setting. Must have working knowledge of electronic medical records. May work with or participate with or without provider in hospital and on hospital patients and take call with the provider, as needed. Provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent. Collaborates with providers and delivers appropriate assistance during surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. br>Benefits
