Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follows established cleaning schedule.* Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.* Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.* Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.* Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.* Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.* Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.* Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.* Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.* Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.* Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.* Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.* Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.* Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.* Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.* Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather.
