THIS ROLE IS A HYBRID POSITION REQUIRING FREQUENT ON-SITE WORK- MUST BE WITHIN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE
EPIC certification preferred; if not certified, must become EPIC certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory EPIC training sessions.
Must be available to travel for EPIC training the week of 3/31/2025.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. High school diploma or GED required.
3 - 5 years of experience working with Epic systems or laboratory information systems.
Knowledge of professional billing processes and revenue cycle management.
Epic Resolute Professional Billing Certification preferred for external candidates. (Internal candidates who meet qualifications and demonstrate proficiency will be supported in achieving certification)
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Configure and optimize the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module to support professional billing processes.
Collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
Manage the end-to-end professional billing process, including charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, and follow-up on outstanding claims.
Analyze remittance advice to ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing and remittance processing.
Develop and maintain documentation for billing workflows, system configurations, and training materials.
Conduct training sessions for end-users, including billing staff and financial administrators, to ensure effective use of the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module.
Provide go-live support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
Offer ongoing support and maintenance for the Epic Resolute Professional Billing module post-implementation.
Create and execute test scripts to validate system functionality and ensure accurate configuration.
Assist in the development of reports and dashboards to monitor billing metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and billing standards.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
