Position Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking for a Custodian to join our High School Team for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily Update/Daily Check-In
  • Clean front offices andentryway
  • Place cleaning supplies orders each month with campus Order Clerk
  • Lunchroom duties:
    • Wipe down tables and walls in high traffic area
    • Clean counters and microwaves
    • Pick up trash after lunch
  • Check all bathrooms, restock paper towels, toilet paper and soap dispensers and remove trash
  • Power blower outside front entrance and courtyard
  • Clean various classrooms and locker rooms
  • Clean main exterior doors and windows in cafeteria and Student Union weekly or as needed
  • Shared crosswalk duty with other custodians
  • Be available on two-way radio and respond in a timely manner
  • Assist with setup of events
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School or Equivalent
  • Be able to lift heavy items 20-50 lbs
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Duties may include frequent walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to approximately 25 pounds. Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. This position will require the employee to have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
