Schedule: TBD, must be flexible to work some weekends.

Compensation: $18 per hour

Responsibilities: The bulk of this job requires detailing vehicles, however there will be cross-training to support other areas of the business as needed.

  • Washes vehicle exterior cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs, following service. 
  • Work and plan with vendors, as requested by management (i.e., detail shop, DEQ, etc.) 
  • Maintain cleanliness of the customer lounge.  
  • Service mop buckets as needed. 
  • Clean fingerprints/grease marks off all service department doors/walls daily. 
  • Check customer bathrooms as needed. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of service shuttle vehicle and ensure it is secured each night. 
  • Pick up garbage and debris from the lot and all surrounding areas of the building daily. 
  • Empty exterior garbage cans when full. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and empty cigarette canisters and surrounding areas. 
  • Recycle cardboard from shops and offices as needed. 
  • Tagging and moving non-wait basis vehicles from the service aisle daily. 
  • Bring customer vehicles from the parking area to the service desk.
  • Inspects and checks new vehicles from transport. Checks for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation. 
  • Run errands including but not limited to the bank, post office etc.  
  • Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. 
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management. 
  • Understands, supports, and promotes company policies, procedures, and guidelines.  
  • Maintains a positive and ethical working relationship with all employees, manufacturers, lenders, vendors, and customers.  
  • Exercises professionalism, integrity, fairness, transparency, and ethics all throughout the auto group.  
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance and organized working space. 
  • Regularly checks work emails during shift. 
  • Attends meetings as required. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Industry preferred.
  • Preferred High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality.
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Math, reading, and software skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
