PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Perform NDE (UT, MT) inspections as required by customer in accordance with customer / TIRNDE written procedures. + Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment. + Document all inspections on the appropriate NDE reports and review prior to submitting to TIR QA. + Compare results with available ILI data and report findings. + Organize and report test results + Maintain close working relationship with construction crews and field personnel. + Perform pipe-to-soil readings, soil resistivity, MIC test, coating inspections as required by customer. + Provide training oversight for level I technicians. + Maintain continual communication with client representative (chief inspector, site inspector, integrity engineers) + Ensure all activities are performed in a safe and professional manner. Adhere to and enforce company safety policies. + Perform other job duties and related tasks as assigned by management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum ASNT Level II certification in UT and MT, preferred PAUT, Laser Scanner, AUT, PMI. + Minimum 2 years Pipeline Integrity experience, 5 years experience recommended. + Ability to provide personal 4x4 vehicle. + Working knowledge of pipeline welding and nondestructive testing procedures and specifications, including API 1104. + Working knowledge of station, facility and plant nondestructive testing procedures and specifications as applicable under ASME Section IX Welding codes. + Decision making skills. + Ability to work under pressure and multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to work confidently with multiple computer software programs.
