OVERVIEWMerrick & Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our teams in Tulsa, OK, Greenwood Village, CO, Chattanooga, TN, Richmond, VA. The role involves designing power systems primarily for Heavy industrial facilities, Oil, Gas & Chemical projects. Responsibilities include comprehensive electrical designs at the drawing level, assisting Project Engineers with drafting and some design tasks.Hourly pay ranges from $40.00 to $52.00, depending on experience and skills.WHAT YOU'LL DOApplication of Knowledge of Building Systems (Conceptual Design):Knowledge of codes and standards such as NFPA 70, 72, 101, 110, 780; UL 96A; ASHRAE 90.1.Collaborate with the Engineering Team and building/facility owners to select appropriate systems and products.Design lighting systems, understanding various lighting types, lamp applications, color temperatures, and control systems.Design power distribution, panelboard schedules, grounding, and protection systems.Understand emergency, legally required, and standby systems.Coordinate power utilization connections and document calculations for code compliance.Design fire alarm, telecommunications (EIA/TIA standards), CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.Design:Perform Quality Control reviews for own and others' designs.Construction Support:Assist with field oversight, RFI resolution, shop drawings, submittals, and field inspections.Project Management:Monitor design team tasks and ensure incorporation of project comments into documents.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School DiplomaAt least 8 years of electrical designing and drafting experienceU.S. Citizenship required for client projectsPERKSEmployee Stock Ownership Plan for eligible U.S. employeesEmployee Referral ProgramPerformance reviews and merit increasesTraining and development opportunitiesRecognition awards, Peer Mentor Program, and moreADDITIONAL INFORMATIONApply online only; no emails or hard copies accepted.Competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO.Merrick is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veterans.Employment contingent upon background check, MVR check, and drug screening.Accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
